Goodyear - Satisfaction Mile after Mile

The Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Company started in 1898 when Frank Seiberling purchased the company's first plant using money he borrowed. The rubber and cotton had to be transported from halfway around the world, to a landlocked town that had only limited rail transportation. Seiberling named the company after the courageous pioneer Charles Goodyear, the discoverer of vulcanisation. He also determined the distinctive winged-foot trademark that remains a symbolic link with the company's past.

The company was named after American Charles Goodyear, inventor of vulcanized rubber. The first Goodyear tyres became popular because they were easily detachable and required little maintenance.

This is quality you can rely on: Goodyear’s Summer, Winter and All-Season tyres have been tested by independent European tyre magazines over the past 5 years – with excellent results.

Goodyear was the first global tire manufacturer to enter China when it invested in a tyre manufacturing plant in Dalian in 1994. Being one of the world’s largest tyre makers. Goodyear owns the well-known brand Dunlop and multiple mid-economy range brands such as the mid-range brand Fulda. As their tyres have a good balance of wet and dry grip, touring and travelling drivers tend to be more inclined to purchase Goodyear tyres. Their specialised tyres provide excellent handling in wet and dry conditions.
